A shout out to the teams we are sponsoring

We are extremely passionate about supporting local businesses and not-for-profits, which is why we continue to sponsor various grassroots clubs in our local area. From football teams to rugby teams, there’s not an avenue we wouldn’t explore for supporting the right club and providing players with these fantastic opportunities.

We’re thrilled to share that we have recently renewed our sponsorship with Panteg AFC and that we are now also proudly sponsoring New Inn AFC and Griffithstown AFC Under 7s (our super stars of the future), all of which are based in Torfaen, South Wales.

Over the past year we have also been sponsoring Jan Robbins in County Darts, the 5th Par 3 at Greenmeadow Golf & Country Club and Merthyr Saints AFC.

There are various other clubs we are in the process of sponsoring, but we don’t want to give anything away just yet before everything is confirmed (we’ll be posting about it on social media very soon).

The sponsorship enables the clubs to achieve their goals along with providing essential funding for things such as new kits, and travel to and from away games. There’s a lot that goes into running sports teams and without sponsorship, unfortunately the clubs just wouldn’t exist and the opportunities wouldn’t be there for the teams and players.

Obviously there are benefits for Uddr too as our logo is displayed on the kits, and advertised on social media and in the match day programmes, providing us with some extra marketing.

It’s great to give back to the community and give local clubs the opportunity to get out there and do something they love, which I think we all need a bit of since the pandemic. Seeing the smiles on children’s faces at football matches and knowing that you’ve helped fund a team’s kit makes it all worthwhile. We are in the process of sponsoring some other local teams at the moment, so we can’t wait to support them over the coming season too!”
