Uddr Ltd, a technology company based in Torfaen, has launched Uddify, a new Web Services platform
to support local new and existing businesses. Thanks to funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund
(UKSPF), the platform will offer a range of digital services to help businesses improve their online
presence.
The UKSPF will provide funding for new and existing businesses to benefit from a professionally built website, advertising support via the successful local directory app also delivered by Uddr, in addition to tech support and marketing aid all free for 12 months. The digital package being funded is a follow-on opportunity from the successful Community Renewal Fund (CRF) project ran by Uddr Ltd in 2021/22. Funding is limited, so applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. The products and services being offered have been specifically designed for business owners who are starting out with no digital presence aside from social media or those who have no previous tech experience or skills. The websites being delivered are the perfect starting point and have been designed to expand as the business requirements grow.
David Smith, CEO of Uddr Ltd, stated, "It’s 2023, no small business should be solely reliant on a social media channel which could disappear at any time and crush their business, but unfortunately many are. The funding being provided by UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) via Torfaen Council is a huge initiative and a step in the right direction, building the digital footprint and skills of Torfaen business owners.”
